Hi Lauren, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that the cancer will not return. Amen. I’m struggling with trichotillomania ( hair pulling disorder) and have 2-3 cm of hair on the top of my head and on the sides and back it’s a little shorter than shoulder length im debating on shaving my head as my hair is growing as I’m using rosemary oil but I have a wig as my dad is desperate for me to shave it all off so it grows back evenly at the same time.

I must have watched this video 20 times. Can't wait for my hair to grow out. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for doing this! I always had long curly hair until I lost it all with chemo....and have had truly no idea how to style short hair, so this is really helpful! I am at about this length and same curly in the back, straight up top/front texture.

You look beautiful!!!!your hair is amazing!,I just want to say thank you for posting your story I lost mine in one year due to they said Covid and stress, I cried because I have been trying everything there is and finally started growing back about 5 moths ago so there is hope but I have the curls and my hair used to be straight and I am going to have it trimmed for the first time since July. 5 years is a long time when you are not in your twenties anymore but so what, at least there is hope, again thank you so much for sharing this!

My last chemo was at the end of October 2023. My hair has grown back super curly. I use a head wrap at night on dry hair. This seems to help flatten down the wild curl pattern and keeps it from sticking up at crazy angles. I also try not to brush it to much as that seem to create a frizzy effect. Thanks for giving us surviors real time help with our chemo curl issues. God bless you.

Hi lauren, I'm just a teen but I'm worried I may have lymphoma. I've been experiencing a lot of pain in my lymph nodes in my neck. It also hurts in the back of my head. Me and my parents were convinced it was a cervical headache caused by a bad sleeping posture, but I've done so many things and it continues to hurt. I've also had a loss of appetite and fatigue. I'm worried I have lymphoma but I don't know what to tell my parents. I feel like I'm overreacting but I might be right and have lymphoma. What do I do?

I am so glad you mentioned the eyelash thing! I am 5 months out from chemo and my eyebrows and lashes started shedding and I am feeling so discouraged about it. I also had THE fuzziest face when my hair started growing in so funny!

Wow. Is all!!! Girl, I'm so hopeful that I won't have to revisit chemo. My first round of treatments ended last week with me shaving my head after week 2 as well. I was losing globs of hair in the shower, so.... yea, why prolong the inevitable. I'm praying every day for good scans and success from my treatments. This was a big help, I had gotten my head shaven for brain surgery this past August. And I been curious how long would it take to grow or if it will grow. The thickness is back lol. But the length is taking its time big time. I admit I'm impatient but i was cutoffs for others how they do it 😊😊

I'm currently at the 5 month, pixy hairstyle phase and my hair looks exactly like yours in those photos! The back appears to have waves and the front/sides looks straight. I'm impatient but excited about the process, and also can't wait to braid again!

Hii .. I am taing chemo for my stage 4 hodgkin lymphoma.. Soi want to ask is relapse is common to everyone ?

Take half a tablespoon of honey for tongue and mouth sore. Helps throat also. Works in minutes

Drink ginger tea .It helps woth joint pain. Antiinflammatory. Or mix ginger oil with johoba oil. Great pain reliever. Get oil at healrh food store. Use heating pad behind back to help with breathing. Chemo causes magnesium to be flushed through the kidneys and as a result your so tired. No energy. Eat small foods that contain magnesium. Nuts. Dark green veggies. Look up magnesium rich foods for the list. I use my nebulizer to help me breathe during chemo. Plus vicks ony chest.

Eat watermelon for constipation.👍
